Fr. Bruce’s “Padrinos” Birthday Celebration to Benefit Youth Programs at Back of the Yards

Padrino means Godparent/Sponsor in Spanish. This event promises to be a night of fun and joyous hope as everyone learns how easy and powerful it is for them to make a difference in a child’s life.

Fr. Bruce Wellems is one of Chicago’s most effective agents of change in the Back of the Yards community—a man whose life is truly a journey of hope and service. This fundraiser is in honor of Fr. Bruce’s birthday to benefit the youth programs under his leadership in Back of the Yards.

Join us at Texas de Brazil on March 8 and find a part of this journey that is a welcome fit with your commitment to social justice. The evening includes distinctive appetizers, cocktails, music, and an intriguing silent auction with items ranging from sporting events tickets to weekend getaways to artwork.
