Welcome to a very special page of our web site - the social services of our parish!
The neighborhood in which our parish is located is very much a low-income working class immigrant neighborhood. As a result, there are many people over the years who have helped develop services which respond to the great need. The gift of life in the community is that many volunteers and not-for-profit agencies serve those in need, and the result is a great social awareness among our families and young people.
This fall, with the difficulties in the economy, Casa Catalina, our Basic Needs Center sponsored by Catholic Charities, is seeking help with Thanksgiving baskets. Please see the section "About Social Services" for information on how you can help.
Because of the role models in social services, many young people are now attending school which include dreams to study law, medicine, education and social work. Connect with our collaborators, including those who are part of our Peace and Education Coalition. Our many partners in the parish mission reach out to those in need make an amazing difference in the life, and future life, of all our children.
Thank you for your interest and support of our families!
