Mariachi
Classes in Mariachi-style music are held weekly. Directing 19 youth in violin, trumpet, and guitar is Michael Espinosa, student at the Vandercook School of Music.
Performing regularly for Quinceanera celebrations, the Mariachi's big month is December, when they prepare for the traditional celebrations of Our Lady of Guadalupe, including performing at the morning (5:30 am) service and evening mass (7:00 pm) on December 12, at Holy Cross Church, 46th and Hermitage.Recent performances include the Día del Niño in April, Mother's Day in May, and Father's Day in June.
The Youth Mariachi Ensemble is preparing for its "second anniversary" celebration on August 28, at 7 pm. Tickets are only $10 for the event at IHM Hall, and include a home-cooked meal, and a performance by the Youth Mariachi.

Programs provide a holistic approach to providing for the needs of our youth, meeting their spiritual needs within the programs of education, recreation and life skills. Our youth have dreams and visions of serving our world in many ways. It is our responsibility to recognize the treasures they are to our Church and guide them in healthy ways to live as responsible caring adults.
