Welcome to the Marimba Ensemble web page!
Look at the calendar in the right-hand column, click on hightlighted dates to see where the Ensemble will perform in the coming weeks. When performing for an event anywhere from 6 to 10 players perform. A few veteran college players will generally accompany high school and younger players. To schedule an event with the Marimba please call 773-376-3900.
 This summer the Holy Cross Marimba Ensemble is preparing to return to Souderton, Pennsylvania for the well known "Sundaes in the Park" series, performing Sunday, June 20th at the Souderton Community Park Maurice Foulke Bandshell.  The Holy Cross Marimba Ensemble is excited about another return to the Southwest United States, performing in New Mexico, Colorado and Dayton, Ohio. The tour will kick off July 4th and run for ten days. Stay tuned for the schedule. (Pictured: The last time the group travelled to Colorado it performed for a concert for the Elation Center for the Arts in Pagosa Springs in 2007.)

Welcome to the official site of the Holy Cross/IHM Marimba Ensemble!
Since 1991 the Marimba Ensemble has accompanied the children's choir at the 10:30 am Holy Cross Sunday mass, and since 1996, in addition to the mass, the Ensemble has consistently performed for 100 special events each year..
Marimba Calendar
Made of young people from the Back of the Yards neighborhood, today over 40 marimba players participate in the mission to bring music to hundreds of people. Each player also lives a special story. The parish youth program is committed to the education and musical development of the children who perform. Working with parents and mentors, the program today inspires mission, music and a whole lot of people who want to support the dreams of the children who perform.
God bless the benefactors and teachers of our parish marimba music program. Thank you for your care of the children who provide music that inspires and serves others.
