The Pastoral Assembly is a body of parish leaders who accompany and develop the parish mission and vision. Every November, those parish leaders who have participated in a series of Leadership Formation Sessions sponsored by the Parish Council meet to discern what ought to be the pastoral priorities of the parish for the upcoming year. In essence, the agenda for the Pastoral Council for the following year is created at that time by this group. It shoud be noted that all Parish Council members past and present who remain active in parish life as well as core staff members including the pastor form part of the assembly having themselves participated in leadership formation.

This year, the Pastoral Assembly identified as major concerns: 1) Immigration; 2) Housing; 3) Violence in the neighborhood; and 4) Parenting, to be addressed by the Parish Council, in addition to other related concerns. It is a full agenda, but we have a very capable Council interested and active in our parish.
