“The initiation (of adults) is a gradual process that takes place within a community of the faithful…” (RCIA #4)
The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) is a program where adolescents (already in High School or older) and adults gather weekly with peers to reflect on their experience of God and their developing faith life as a way of preparing to celebrate one, two, or all of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist/Communion).
Registration to be in one of these groups normally take place sometime in the early part of the year and in September although we welcome your call or visit anytime of the year so that we may place you on a list for the next group.
The celebration of the sacraments for those in the RCIA takes place every year at the Easter Vigil which is the night before Easter Sunday. For more information call (773. 376-3900) or visit our parish office.
