For over a year now, a special activity has been open to neighborhood youth ages 11-18. Known among the youth as “Woodshop,” the experience was begun by John Paderta, and it is housed in one of our parish buildings.   Youth stop in Thursday evenings and Saturdays to work on several different woodworking machines to create simple to intricate projects such as plaques, clocks, lamps, and more. Some of the items are created for gifts for their families, while other items are offered for sale to benefit local youth activities.
