Classes in Mariachi-style music are held weekly. Directing 17 youth in violin, trumpet, and guitar is Michael Espinosa, student at the Vandercook School of Music.   Performing regularly for Quinceanera celebrations, the Mariachi’s big month is December, when they prepare for the traditional celebrations of Our Lady of Guadalupe, including performing at the morning (5:30 am) service and evening mass (7:00 pm) on December 12, at Holy Cross Church, 46th and Hermitage.   The Youth Mariachi Ensemble held a very successful ‘second anniversary’ event on August 28, filling the Patio of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church with music and festivities.
